Speakers – These will include family members who have lost a loved one due to a death in custody and families who have had their children stolen.
Other speakers – Nancy McGindy & Gadrian Hussain from Borroloola to speak about NT land grab and destruction of Land through CSG fracking.

For First Nations Peoples and Allies the 26th of January is the day that marked the Invasions of our Peoples. It is offensive to celebrate genocide and the attempted subjugation of over 500 different nations.

Yabun Festival

Sydney also hosts the Yabun festival, the largest one day gathering in recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures in Australia. This is a free public event.

When: 11am to 7pm on January 26, 2020.

Where: In Victoria Park featuring live music, panel discussions and forums on Aboriginal issues, children’s activities, traditional performances and a market.
